Dr. Charles Steele, Jr. - President
Charles Steele, Jr. has battled for American Civil Rights for over 40 years. He is the former President and CEO of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and joined PIE-A after he passed the torch to a new generation of leaders at Dr. King’s SCLC. Dr. Steele is a civil rights leader first, using his constituency as a pulse to direct action and chapter development of public policies. His vision of a “national playing field” keeps him in touch with current issues and political fairness.
